I had a pleasant stay at The Emperor Tiananmen Beijing. the location in Qianmen was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. The breakfast was fantastic, offering both Chinese and Western options. although the rooms could use some updates and didn't match the sleek photos online. Overall, it was a good experience but could improve in a few areas.

Rooms
6.0
The room was decently sized but lacked certain practicalities like bedside tables and a wardrobe. There was also insufficient lighting, and the bathroom floor would get flooded during showers.
Service
8.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, especially Zidane, who showed genuine concern when I was feeling unwell. However, one incident involved a staff member oddly tracking me to my room for proof of payment.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location is extremely convenient, just a short walk from Qianmen station and Tiananmen Square. There are also plenty of local dining options, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was a highlight, with a great mix of Chinese and Western fare. However, the overall dining quality was inconsistent, as not all dishes suited every palate.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had a rooftop bar which was a nice addition, but I was disappointed to find that the indoor spa pool mentioned during booking no longer existed.

7.4/10

My stay at The Emperor Tiananmen was a mix of positives and negatives. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from key attractions like Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. but finding the hotel can be tricky, especially at night. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, the noise levels were quite disruptive, making it hard to get a good night's sleep.

Rooms
6.0
The room itself was spacious and modern, yet I encountered some issues with the temperature control. there was no way to lower the heat effectively. The overall decor gave it a unique flair, but the setup of the shower and bathroom situation could use improvement.
Service
7.0
Service was generally good, with helpful staff who spoke enough English to assist me when needed. However, the dining experience fell a bit short compared to what I expected from a hotel of this nature.
Location
9.0
The location is absolutely a highlight. I loved being so close to tourist hotspots and surrounded by restaurants. The pedestrian area made exploring easy, though getting to the hotel from the main street was a bit confusing at first.
Dining
6.0
I found the dining options adequate but not really good. the breakfast was decent, though I preferred eating out given the variety of local options just a stone's throw away. The rooftop dining experience need some improvement as well, especially with service timing.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities were modern and clean, with a nice rooftop pool and bar area, but I couldn't enjoy them fully since it was too cold during my stay. The internet speed was disappointingly slow which disrupted my plans somewhat.

6.8/10

My stay at The Emperor Tiananmen was a bit of a mixed bag. While the location is fantastic near major attractions, the room issues really put a damper on my experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, but overall, I wouldn't say this hotel met my expectations, especially for the price. 😕

Rooms
5.0
I was initially placed in a very dark room with no real window, which felt quite claustrophobic. After requesting a room change, I ended up in a smaller room that was poorly finished. Despite being clean, the lack of basic amenities like temperature control made my stay uncomfortable.
Service
6.0
The staff were polite and spoke decent English. I appreciated their willingness to help, especially when I was dealing with issues regarding my room.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently located just a short walk from Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and local shopping areas. However, finding the entrance was tricky due to its position in a dimly lit alley.
Dining
5.0
Breakfast was decent, featuring a mix of Western and Chinese options. However, I found the selection to be lacking compared to other hotels I've stayed at in China.
Facilities
5.0
The rooftop pool and terrace offer beautiful views, but I couldn't fully enjoy them. The overall facilities seemed to be in need of better maintenance.

I had a lovely stay at The Emperor Tiananmen Beijing, enjoying the beautiful rooms and excellent location near key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, though some language barriers were apparent. While the breakfast buffet was average, I appreciated the nearby dining options. The comfortable beds and the stunning rooftop views made my experience nice.

Rooms

My room was gorgeous, featuring a free mini-bar and a comfortable bed. though the lighting could have been brighter.

The staff were obliging and ready to help, even managing to return an item I thought lost. though there were moments of limited English communication.

I found the breakfast buffet decent but opted to try nearby local spots for a more enjoyable meal experience. the variety at breakfast was just okay.

I recently stayed at The Emperor Hotel in Beijing, and I’ve gotta say, it was a solid experience overall. The location is super convenient, right next to some awesome shopping streets and just a hop away from the Forbidden City. While the staff were welcoming and accommodating, I wish they had a bit more command of English. Also, the room was clean and modern, but the lack of privacy with the bathroom setup was a bit odd. All in all, a good choice for a trip to Beijing!

Rooms
8.0
My room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed, plus a free mini bar that got replenished daily. However, I found the glass around the mirror quite strange, as it made privacy feel compromised.
Service
8.0
The staff were mostly friendly and went out of their way to help me whenever I needed it. However, I did notice that their command of English could use some improvement, which made a few interactions a little challenging.
Location
10.0
The location was perfect for exploring Beijing, just a few minutes’ walk from the subway and within easy reach of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, which I could even see from the rooftop bar. It felt vibrant and alive.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was pretty good, offering a nice variety from fresh fruit to pastries and both Western and Asian options. It was fresh and the ingredients were of good quality, so I definitely enjoyed my mornings.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had a modern vibe with a cool rooftop bar that offered stunning views at night. However, I did think some facilities could’ve been better maintained for a five-star place.
